Computer Software

Computer software is so called in contrast to computer hardware, which encompasses the physical interconnections and devices required to store and execute (or run) the software. Computer software is held in the storage of computers for a very specific purpose and performs the function of the program it implements, either by directly providing instructions to the computer hardware or by serving as an input to another piece of software. Computer software is described as the information processed by the systems. Computer software is a major form of intellectual property, both from the standpoint of the intellectual creativity required to produce it and the practical and commercial value of good products.

Software

Software is an ordered sequence of instructions for changing the state of the computer hardware in a particular sequence. Software may also be written in an assembly language, essentially, a mnemonic representation of a machine language using a natural language alphabet. Software license gives the user the right to use the software in the licensed environment, some software comes with the license when purchased off the shelf, or OEM license when bundled with hardware. Software may also databases, and computer games. Software can help a small business correspond with its customers, keep track of inventory and even answer the phone and process orders.

Computer

Computer software, consisting of programs, enables a computer to perform specific tasks, as opposed to its physical components (hardware) which can only do the tasks they are mechanically designed for. Computer software has to be "loaded" into the computer's storage (such as a hard drive, memory, or RAM). Computers operate by executing the computer program. Computer software, a general term used for computer programs and data. Computer software can be classified into two types:Systems software includes basic input-output systems, device drivers etc. Computer users can also create their own computer software, including spreadsheet templates, word processor macros etc.

Copyright

Copyright in software may be assigned or licensed to others. Copyright and other intellectual property laws protect software created, posted and traded on the Internet. Copyright protection can be claimed without registration or the deposit of copies with the Copyright Office. Copyright law does not protect the ideas and functional elements of software, as does patent law.

System

System software helps run the computer hardware and computer system. System software enables the users to run computer hardware and computer system including operating system, device drivers, diagnostic tools, servers, windowing systems and some more. Computer software is protected as intellectual property under the US copyright system. "Bundled" software is canned software that is sold with hardware and does not have a separately stated price, and can include operating systems such as DOS, UNIX, OS-2, or System 6. Because embedded software is part of the computer system, machinery, or other equipment, it has no separate acquisition cost and shall not be separately valued apart from the computer system, machinery, or other equipment in which it is housed.

Program

Programming software usually provides tools to assist a programmer in writing computer programs and software using different programming languages in a more convenient way. Programs may be called by one to many other programs; programs may call zero to many other programs. Program and library The term "software" was first used in A program may not be sufficiently this sense by John W. Programs may be software, programming software and called by one to many other programs; application software, although the programs may call zero to many other distinction is arbitrary, and often programs. Programming software provides some useful tools like text editor, compiler, interpreter, linker and debugger etc.

Computer software is big business with millions of research dollars at stake. Computer software is a set of directions or instructions that exist in the form of machine-readable or human-readable code, is recorded on physical or electronic medium and directs the operation of a computer system or other machinery and/or equipment. Computer software is covered by copyright and cannot be used unless it has been legally obtained. Computer software is protected under the federal copyright law which states that, "Users may not make a copy of a piece of software for any other reason than as an archival back-up without permission of the copyright holder.

Best Online Advertising Methods Are Right Under Your Nose

It is amazing how so many people have tried out the best online advertising methods and yet still never really realized its' true potential. Meaning that it still stares them in the face and they cannot even recognize it.

There should really be no debate about this so let us look at your own habits online. When you require some information online, where do you go? To your favorite search engine naturally, where you key in some relevant keywords. The results will depend on the content available online concerning the subject that you are interested in.

So it is highly unlikely that there is a more effective online advertising method than using promotional articles to attract the attention of leading, popular search engines. Why then is it that there are so many people who have tried promotional articles and it has not worked out too great. The answer to that question is simple. Writing a few articles and posting them at article directories will hardly do much for your traffic. Promotional articles are meant to be visible online and for this to happen, you must understand search engine optimization or SEO. This means that you must post article designed to generate lots of one way links pointing to certain key, quality articles at your site. The most efficient way of getting this to happen is writing quality articles that other webmasters will quickly pick up and re-post at their sites complete with the carefully chosen anchor text links in the author's resource box at the bottom and also within the article.

Relevant classified ads can also be pretty effective, especially when people who know what they are doing do it.

PPC Search Engine Internet Marketing - Bidding Strategies (Part 2 of 2)

So, what is a good bidding strategy for PPC search engine internet marketing success? This won't cover all the things you can do, such as checking which position gives you the best conversion rate, but the following strategy will focus on the main issues.

This PPC search engine internet marketing strategy may cost you more in the beginning, but it creates a situation that gives you a dominant position and forces you to adapt and make money that much faster. So, what the strategy entails is simply reversing the bidding strategy most people start with, as described in part 1; you start by bidding high.

Make your bid and take one of the top three spots. Then, you begin to adjust your ads with different keyword use and placement for increasing your CTR. You will be able to see which keywords bring the most traffic and which ones convert better.

You should have your ads stay up for around 200-300 clicks. Then, start to slowly decrease your bids. You will notice that your CTR stays the same. At this point, wait for another 100 clicks and then drop your bid again. Your CTR may be affected somewhat, but your rank will remain strong. So, for a recap:

1. Discover which keywords bring you the most traffic

2. Figure out which keywords have the best conversion rates

3. Find out which ads have the highest CTR

4. Find out which ads are the best at converting

5. Meanwhile, you develop a good keyword history

Instead of spending months getting this information, you get it all in a few days.

Most experts will tell you to continue to drop your bids until your PPC search engine internet marketing campaign becomes profitable, but I would tell you to do the opposite. Use the increased traffic to force you to improve your website! There is nothing more motivating than losing a bunch of potential customer traffic to a poorly developed website or opt-in sales page.

Six Steps to Becoming an On-line Joint Venture Broker

An on-line Joint Venture Broker essentially finds a company wishing to sell more of their product(s), then finds a company which has the capability of selling more of that product(s), and then brokers a deal between them and earns a commission for total sales.

All contact is done on-line and your only "hard work" is carrying out a little research and then firing off some emails.

The benefits of Joint Venture Brokering on-line are:

* You don't need a single cent in your account.

* You don't need marketing skills.

* You don't need a mailing list of hundreds, if not thousands, of potential customers.

* You don't need a Website.

* You don't need to create a product.

The six steps to take are as follows:

1. Identify your passions and hobbies so that you will not only make money with your on-line brokering business, but enjoy working on it too! This will keep you motivated when you start your first project.

2. After you've got a list in front of you outlining your hobbies and passions you need to drill down and find which market you'd like to broker for. For example if you wrote down "sports" as one of your passions you need to dig a little deeper and find out which exact sport niche you want to get into.

This is really simple to do when you use the site www.clickbank.com. This is an amazing site selling downloadable products on a wide range of subjects.

You can also use clickbank to come up with ideas for sites to broker for.

3. Next using either www.google.com or affiliate directories such as www.affiliatesdirectory.com and find a web site with a two tier affiliate program that matches the following criteria.

* Pay at least $10 commission per second tier sale.

* Preferably provides the marketer with ready go to marketing materials like email promotions, articles, adverts, banner ads etc.

* Has a "cookie tracking system" for their affiliate program which means that even if the marketers you try to broker deals with don't sign up on the day you contact them, but sign up months later, you still get credited for any sales they make months down the line.

4. What you need to do now is build up a massive list of people we can contact in order to broker deals for the site you've found, and you should email each marketer separately to avoid spamming. To find these sites you need to build up a list of site owners in the clickbank marketplace, find sites relevant to your niche and keep a record of the domain names.

5. Go to google and type in "link: (domain name)". What this will do is bring you back a list of all of the sites that are linking to this web site. You will then get a list of sites that are actively promoting a web site in the niche market you are brokering for. Now all you need to do is go through contacting these site owners via email.

6. Find people with email lists who might be willing to send out a promotion. All you're going to do here is find site owners who send out regular emails to a targeted list in the market of the site you are brokering for. The best way to do this is by finding people who publish a regular ezine.

You can do this by going to google and typing in (niche) ezine e.g. golf ezine. You'll then get a massive list of results with the vast majority being sites which publish, or are linking to another site which publishes, an ezine in your niche market. Then contact the publishers with you proposal via email.

Joint Venture Brokering on-line is a highly versatile business which can be run on a part or full time basis and produce serious profits for those who take the time to learn the necessary skills and apply them.

PDF Search Engine- 2D Searches

PDF, which is an acronym for portable document formant was initially developed by Adobe Systems beginning in 1993. Its primary purpose was to represent two dimensional documents in a way that was independent both of the device and the display resolution. a pdf file can typically be read by most web browsers on most devices. PDF files include the complete description of either a two-dimensional or with Acrobat 3D, three-dimensional documents. Currently pdf files are considered open standard. Preparation for submission as an ISO standard is in process.

Over the years, pdf files have become the accepted way of capturing and storing two and now three dimensional images. Governmental jurisdictions, colleges and university research archives, medical records and many other applications have been converted to pdf files so that full retention is available and searchable. This allows massive amounts of information to be protected and stored in much the same way as microfiche and microfilm used to be retained. However, the use of the computer for preparation and storage of the files means that almost anyone with a desktop has access to the information. No longer is it necessary to have a bulky microfiche or microfilm reader in order to view the images.

In the past, however the major drawback of PDF files is that only one file at a time could be searched and then only by using the 'find tool' embedded within the document. So in order to do a search of a particular phrase occurring in multiple pdf files, the researcher would need to pull up the appropriate pdf file, use the embedded 'find' feature and view the results individually. The researcher would then move on the the next file, call it up, and repeat the process. This process is both time-consuming and tedious.

A new generation of software has been developed around the concept of searching for data within multiple pdf files. This software allows a cache of multiple pdf documents to be reviewed by the pdf software and multiple results presented, just as in the results page of a Google search or a Yahoo search.

It should be emphasized that the sophisticated pdf search engine software goes beyond just pdf files, it do other types of specialized search engine work as well, such as audio, OCR and scanned images. In fact, searches can be conducted simultaneously in pdf and over two hundred other formats.

Such technology is a boon to researchers of all types, whether it be textual, photographic or other types of media format. The pdf file recognition means that data doesn't have to be converted to .doc or any other format in order to conduct searches. In some cases, such conversions were not possible, anyway. The wealth of information available to genealogical or historical researchers is directly due to the continued advances being made by such companies as Adobe in providing a format and other software developers who are instrumental in making the information available in a usable format. PDF has become somewhat of a revolution in storing, searching and sending electronic documents.

Internet Marketing Says "I Do" To Network Marketing To Form Revolutionary Home Business Marriage

Some have tested it,others have tried, Many have made
attempts, to only watch it die.

I just had to start this vital information off in the manner
of a very brief & short poem because it is the truth.

Who would have ever thought that it would be possible to
successfully marry these two distinct opposite components
together and make them co-exist so beautifully to compliment
each other.Well, Tycoon Wealth has successfully done it.

In turn it provides a bridge to financial independence for
the self employed home business owner or financial freedom
seeker that jumps into this vehicle and drives it.

Many Home Business owners that are believers of Network Marketing
share these common two problems that causes newbies to the Network
Marketing industry to quit.

1.Not enough immediate income and cashflow to be sustained to
cover advertising and marketing costs that a new home business
needs.

2.Not enough high quality candidates/prospects to join you in your
Network Marketing opportunity to build momentum that eventually takes
on a life of its own where you will soon have residual walk away
wealth.

This is where Internet Marketing has just come to the rescue to
propel Network Marking into a new stratosphere.

Internet Marketing provides a way to reach out to the world via the
internet while creating immediate cashflow. It is recognized and called
a G.I.C. Program, which means Generate Instant Cash.

Once a Network Marketer puts the Internet Marketing component in front
of their Network Marketing opportunity to act as a turbo charger, cashflow
problems and high quality candidates/prospects to join you in your
residual income producing Network Marketing business are quickly history.

Therefore, it makes so much sense to marry them together to form a home
business model that appeals to the masses because of how it screams
"Success".

The number of home business owners that would love to be shown a way
to generate immediate income in the front end of their business to later create
walk away residual income on the back end of their business is this many...
"Everybody".

One man said "Network Marketing businesses need a booster so that
the success rate of the masses can shoot thru the roof".

This is so true indeed because of how it can provide that residual
income that so many people covet, which is money that continually comes
to you today off of the work that you've done years and months ago.

Network Marketing has long been off trial. It is a proven business
model that has created walk away residual wealth for single
moms,dads,doctors,lawyers,school teachers,plumbers and many
other career and business professionals all over the world and it
continues to do so.

These two components joined together is currently creating a wave of
noise that is helping a team of like minded people have the true success that
they have so desperately longed for. What's wonderful about it is that
anyone and everyone who has the same desire of home business success
can become a part of this astounding awesome concept starting today if they
choose.

3 Proven Tips, Tools and Tactics To How to Build an Opt in List

I hope by now you have at last got the message; you won't get anywhere without an opt-in list. You've read numerous articles and read so many success stories of other people (never you!) creating a fortune with opt-in lists that you finally accept that you will have to get one of your own. Then the usual thing happens, after all you've read and digested about creating opt-in lists, and having followed all the expert advice to the letter you still can't seem to make a profit.

To add insult to injury, you are probably losing money. You may have hired ghost writers at $50 a time, or incurred some other expenses. Even if you have managed to get a big list, only a very small percentage of your list will ever actually buy something from you, so you're still losing money. You'll soon realize that very quickly when you see your income and expense figures.

So what did you do wrong? Why do others always seem to succeed and you always seem to fail? The most common mistake people make is that they dive in straight away, with no planning. You choose a niche which from your keyword research seems to be quite popular and which looks likely to earn you some money. It doesn't always follow. Just because you emailed people in your list doesn't mean they are all going to instantly take you up on your very fair offer.

But don't give up quite yet, for those who have started an opt-in list but are still not making any money. You can resurrect your doomed venture.

Here are three quick and easy ways to build a profitable opt-in list.

1) First, get your customers to trust you and your products. Write some articles first, to establish your credibility in your chosen niche before you start to think about getting your opt-in list. Write about the topic you have chosen, and put in the links back to your site. Post in forums specific to your sphere of knowledge first to gain insight about what members want, and then and target those needs. Look for posts like "How do I….."

Join other forums as well. Provide lots of help and suggestions. Don't blatantly advertise your site, or affiliate programs, just have a discreet link in your signature. Remember the search engines will pick up these links, which will help your site PR. When you feel that people trust you by the replies to your posts, then you will be able to start your opt-in list. You can build your base with other forum users, especially if you are seen to have been helping others. You can ask them to join your list, but it would be better to give them some incentives, like free stuff, or half price software.

The fact of the matter is that the cash will only flow when the customers and subscribers believe you and trust you. They want a product or service that is seen as being good value. They won't buy something just based on your reputation, value for money is still their prime consideration .

2) Find a product or service that people want and think they need. Although you may not have known anything about the product when you started, if you provide a service or a product that you have researched well, you can have the confidence to sell it.

While it is true that you should sell something that you have interest in, it is also true that there may not be many people who are as interested as you, especially if you decide to sell something that is not popular. This is where your keyword research will pay off. If you have done your research well, you will know that there is a need for your product, and you should see the profits start to roll in. You should also provide your subscribers with promotional material like banners and text links that they can use and spread the word around. You then ask them to join your list by asking them if they wish to keep up with all your future products.

3) Make friends with other users of opt-in lists. This is really beneficial, especially if it is someone who has already launched a successful opt-in list. Ask them for their advice, what would they do differently now. While there are many articles available for you on the internet, you can't beat getting a first hand account from someone who has already been there and done it.

While different situations may occur for different people, the general concept still applies. There are many pitfalls to avoid and these people should be able to tell you what they are. This is your work on building relationships and helping others in forums will start to pay off.

Building a profitable opt-in list won't happen overnight. There are many plans to make, and a fair bit of work and to do. You must offer people an incentive to sign up to your list, and also make a promise that they will not get bombarded with sales letters. You need to maintain the quality of your list, by periodically weeding out the dead end email addresses. Keep your list organized and manageable, and make sure that your subscribers are happy and satisfied.

What Is A Mini Site & Why Do I Need One?

A mini site is a mini website that acts as a direct response website. Direct response websites are made to create to focus on one idea and provides the visitor to take action on that focused idea. For instance, if you are promoting a product or service and you are looking to generate some interest, a good mini site strategy to attract some leads would be to create a squeeze page.

Basically a squeeze page focuses on the benefits of your products and highlights those benefits by using bullet points or some kind of ordered list of your benefits. Once the benefits are explained, there's a subscription box so that interested parties can simply enter their email and name. This strategy alone is one of the most powerful strategies to generate leads for whatever it is that you are selling. It takes out everything that would sway your visitor away from the focus of your mini site and places the full attention to what the benefits of your product or service is and how can it solve your customers problems.

Statistically, visitors to your website will not buy anything from your website or mini site. So you need to find a way to keep in contact with the visitors that do reach your mini site by offering a free gift such as a newsletter or some kind of digital product that can be easily downloaded or delivered through email. Usually this comes in the fashion of information about your particular niche product or service, and how by buying it, it can solve their problems fast.

A squeeze page gets its name because it is meant to squeeze out the desired information from that targeted visitor, which in turn builds your list of potential buyers of your product. Unlike lead generation in the offline world, where you need to make costly postcard mail-outs or uncomfortable phone or door to door solicitations, online lead generation is much more palatable for most people. Realize that nothing moves until you make sales, and as much as people are uncomfortable with sales, if you do not have none, your business will be on the brink of failure.

Mini site squeeze pages simply act as your 24 hour lead generator, while you focus on different aspects of your business. No business whether online or offline can survive without fresh leads that are interested in their products or services.

Mini-Sites - 7 Ways To Better Rankings

It is apparent that two years ago the biggest of search engines, Google, decided to penalize sites that were using mini sites primarily on a single domain name. The claim was that these mini sites only provided a benefit to the mini website owner and not the searcher whom Google and its advertisers make money from.

Google started to penalize users of Google's Pay Per Click model by skyrocketing their minimum bids higher than most would dare to move up to, thereby eliminating their campaigns. They've also tried to discourage many internet marketer's by saying that domains with only a mini site on their domain, will lose page rank and thereby sink to search engine "hell". The only real way to combat this punishment is to apply content to the existing web pages on that particular domain. I show you easily how to accomplish but remember that you want to link these sites somehow to your mini sites so that you gain needed traffic to that particular page. Here's how you can stay out of trouble and effectively raise your mini sites out of search engine hell:

1. add a blog and use it as the index page of your domain, or somewhere so that its pages are spidered by search engine bots.

2. add a content site and add it as the index page of your domain.

3. add both a content site and a blog to add more useful information so that search engine users have enough useful information to read on the topic.

4. add a niche article directory where articles whereby you would except articles on your site about you specific niche topics.

5. add an RSS feed to your mini sites, content sites and blogs so that you page looks continuously updated.

6. continuously update your website at least once or twice a week so that you provide search engine spiders to find new and fresh information to index.

7. continuously add relative back links from websites to your mini sites, content sites and blogs so that your domain grows over time. Remember, back links are playing a more important role to adding more visibility to your websites.

In conclusion, mini sites still provide a great way to generate sales, provide leads for your online businesses and add value to your websites using presell sites, but you must apply some of these important points that are covered here. Gone are the days where you can simply put up a page that is of sole benefit to you the website owner. Search engines want better content for their users simply because content and words, provide a more targeted method of applying advertisements to those users.

By adding useful information coupled with your mini sites that produce sales or opt-in leads, it generates a win-win situation for both you and the search engines.

What You Need To Know About E-Currency Trading

Yes! E-currency trading, ever heard of it? Its what is making those that have long heard about it very wealthy, legally! So if your seat belts are tight enough, lets take a ride into the world of E-currency Trading.

Well, E-currency per say means the exchange of one e-currency for another e-currency. Simple as that!

If you're going to another country that does not accept money from your country, you would want to convert your money to the currency of the country you're going to. Companies that provide this service charge a fee for doing so. The same applies to e-currency.
If you exchange one e-currency for another, there are "Merchants" who perform this transaction for you. These Merchants take a certain percentage for performing this service.

Now, to get started in E-currency trading, you have to know "how" it works and what to do to make the most profits out of it.

Now, with as little as $25, yes $25 you could be on your way amassing large monthly income with that amount you invest. All you do is invest that $25 in e-currency trading, reinvest its weekly earning and without putting further funds in, you could expect to generate a monthly income of over $4,800 in just three years, based on an average growth of 2% per week. All from just $25 investment!

So what do you do to improve your earning status? Here's what you do,

1. Create an e-currency account

2. Fund your e-currency account (there are a lot of e-currency exchangers, just do a research on google.com and you will find them)

3. Create an exchange account with DXINONE.COM (that's the company that runs a secure e-currency trading)

4. Inject funds into the DXINONE system

5. Buy digots/shares with your injected funds

6. Get your DX Debit

7. Pay your fees regularly and continue trading!

So there you are, the snap glance of E-currency trading. Hope you ahve a great day!

Write the Compelling Article, Get the Business You Deserve

One of the best ways to publicize your website, product or service is to write articles that link back to you. So if you're a plumber, tell me what to do when my toilet won't stop running at 3:00 AM. If you're an accountant, tell me what is and isn't tax deductible. If you're an attorney who specializes in defending white collar criminals..well, you get the idea. In general, writing these articles and having them point back to your website or contact information is a wonderful idea.

There's just one little catch. They've got to be well written. That doesn't just mean spelling, grammar, and correct information, although these elements are very important. That means your articles have to successfully compete in a marketplace of articles whose authors are trying to do the very same thing that you're doing.

So, how do you make sure readers select your articles and not those of your competitors? By making your articles clever, informative, and above all, magnetic. Once a reader's eyes focus on your article, they should not shift away from the page until they have taken in every word.

It's All About Them

Most of us are eager to promote our products and services. We want to talk about our education and training, our long lists of publications, our skill at making widgets, or whatever else we are proud of.

Big mistake. Readers don't want to read about you. They want to read about themselves. Why should they care if you're the fastest widget-maker in the world if they don't know why they should want a widget in the first place?

Still stuck? Follow these five easy steps to lead you through.

1. Find a Need

In one scene of the movie, The Prince of Tides, the mother of a poor family is trying to get into a local social club that keeps rejecting her. Her daughter asks why she wants to be a member of a club that doesn't want her. "Oh, they want me, honey," the mother replies smoothly, "they just don"t know it yet."

If you can tap into an unmet need that your readers may not even be aware that they have until they see your work, your articles will be a vein of pure gold running through the drudgery of most online pieces.

So use your expertise to convince readers that you know about something they need, and they'll be beating a path to your door to get the advice, the fix, the cure, or the service.

2. Wow 'Em From The Start

Start with a short anecdote, a startling statistic, or a pointed question. For instance, which opening would keep you reading?

#1. People who lose weight sometimes find that they regain the weight soon afterwards. Losing weight is a constant struggle..

OR

#2. Randi Forest lost 54 pounds last year. Think she's thrilled? She's not. That's because she gained 60 pounds this year. If you, like Randi and like the vast majority of other dieters, have struggled with weight maintenance, you'll find these tips for keeping the weight off especially helpful..

3. Use A Conversational Tone Of Voice

James Herriot, who wrote All Creatures Great and Small as well as a host of other books about being a Yorkshire country vet, used to say that when he wrote he imagined himself in a pub telling the stories to other patrons. Anyone who has read his books is familiar with his friendly, conversational style.

Like Heriot, imagine you are swapping stories with a buddy, or chatting with someone over the telephone about the issue you're addressing. Accept in special cases, such as writing your dissertation, a friendly, approachable style will win over more readers than an unapproachable, academic style.

4. Offer Realistic Hope

We all live on hope, though the things we hope for may change daily.

Even if you can't make sweeping promises to fix the problems of the world in your article, extend some form of hope and give the reader a gentle nudge to get started. For instance, you might finish an article on safe driving by saying, "Defensive driving will not, of course, guarantee that you will never have an accident, but it may help to minimize the damage if you do. So, slow down, turn the music down, put the cell phone down, and focus on the cars around you. Driving may not be nearly as much fun, but the people who care about you and don't want to see you hurt will thank you for your new attitude."

5. Edit

There's nothing worse - okay, a lot of things are worse, but there's little more embarrassing - than publishing an article only to realize that you've made a typo that turns a perfectly innocent little word into an obscene one, or spelled your own name wrong, or any of the other humiliating things writers do every day. So take a few minutes to read through your work. I read mine out loud, because I know that what doesn't register on the eye will often jangle on the ear.

Unless you're on a strict deadline, take a one day cooling off period and re-read, then make your final edits and submit.

Always remember, you're the expert in your field. No one knows your topic better than you do. You just need to write articles that will get the information across in a style readers will enjoy and appreciate. If you learn to do that, you should have no trouble raking in the business.

Aerial Image Maps Save Lives

We normally tell people that a map is a representation of the surface of the Earth. This is true, but it is a stylized representation of normal conditions.

Aerial imagery shows the truth, but only for a specific segment of time, which may or may not be normal conditions, and may or may not be current. I've spent two decades in a job requiring work in poorly mapped territory, and I've found the synergistic effects of having both a map and aerial imagery is unbeatable. Whether you find yourself working in an area never effectively mapped or around your own neighborhood, there are advantages to having overhead imagery available.

For instance, overhead imagery is very helpful to contractors creating new housing developments to show details not on the maps. If resources and time permits, pictures of the same area over the course of a year can show a typical range for an intermittent stream so you can gauge its normal behavior, how much seasonal variation there is for the foliage and even occasionally the prevalence of off-road vehicular travel in an area.

Maps are excellent, but the difficulty of creating the map ensures they are done periodically at best. This means it isn't unusual to find roads are present where the map says there are none, or perhaps a road leading to a closed mine has been let go and is not really trafficable anymore. Aerial maps can provide important clues to prevent this from being a surprise. With far less effort than creating a conventional map, overhead imagery can show you the current state of the ground.

For example, in some parts of the world, neighborhoods can spring up much more rapidly than the area can be mapped. I also remember a time when I discovered the map showed a road exactly where it was, but the ridge the road was on according to the map wasn't where the map said. An aerial map would have turned that miserable morning into an easy task.

Yet the aerial map isn't a sure solution by itself. Trails that may be on the map can be nothing but treetops on overhead imagery. An uncharacteristic condition, such as flooding or a drought, can produce aerial maps that can mislead you as to normal conditions. It is also easy to misinterpret imagery if you are inexperienced. The angle of the image can turn an apparently gentle slope into something foreboding, or vice versa.

In a perfect world you will always want imagery, a map and a GPS. While on a trip overseas, I found a place where the sign said the city name was something, the population on one side of the city insisted it was something different, the other side of the city had a third choice while the map showed something else, as well as cities with all three of the other names in the same region. Having overhead imagery to compare to the city was regrettably helpful in determining where I actually was.

Vista Prone To Hacking?

Can it really be possible? Windows Vista, the newly released operating of Microsoft, is vulnerable to hacking? Yes, you heard it right. It is possible, according to Microsoft itself. Well, it appears that an audio podcast has the capability of hacking Windows Vista's speech recognition feature. By using recorded audio commands, hackers can run malicious programs.

Based on an initial investigation conducted by Microsoft, Vista's speech recognition feature can allow an attacker to execute commands verbally on a user's computer. The commands, however, are limited to the rights of a certain logged on user. Any commands on the administrative level will be barred by the User Account Control.

Microsoft explains that the hacking can done when the user has a microphone and speakers connected to his or her computer with the speech recognition feature configured. Once these exist, the audio file of an attacker could issue verbal commands through the system's speakers which could be executed by the speech recognition feature. With this flaw, it is possible for a podcast or any other audio file for that matter to delete documents of a Vista user and empty the trash. Users are advised to disable speech recognition within Vista.

Microsoft assures its customers that it is continuously looking into the issue and will provide more guidance to protect them. To avoid this attack, Vista users are advised to take several steps. First is to turn off their computer speakers and microphone. The next thing to do is to close the Windows Media Player, turn off the speech recognition feature and restart the computer if the user runs an audio file that tries to execute commands on their system. A user can disable speech recognition by going to the speech recognition options and unchecking "run speech recognition at startup." While there, a user can also disable the default speech profile for the system. This is to avoid the risk of outside voices and noise being recognized as valid for input instead of the user's own voice.

The recent launching of Microsoft Vista is the biggest ever in the history of Microsoft. It was the grandest launch because of the introduction of both a new Windows and Office operating system. It came five years after Windows XP was introduced. This early, Microsoft officials foresee that Vista will be accepted by people faster compared to other Windows operating systems. For the first two years, the firm expects to sell approximately 200 million copies to businesses and consumers around the world. Vista features unique graphics including 3-D icons and folders with the so-called transparent glass effects. The launch of this new upgrade, originally named Longhorn, had been postponed several times as Microsoft took extra efforts to make sure that Vista will be fully secured from more complex and high-tech Internet attacks.

Microsoft Vista comes in four versions with advanced interface and security tools. To be able to run the system, you will need a minimum of an 800MHz processor, 512 RAM and a hard disk with a 15GB capacity. The firm also guaranteed that Vista will benefit gamers and game developers apart from businesses and regular consumers.

2 Totally Free Ways To Rake In A Sudden Influx Of Cash Online!

Most beginners, when starting off online, don't have lots of money to risk. They also don't want to spend time building a company, not knowing whether it will succeed. They want to make money as soon as possible. I can totally relate. Your first $5 a day online could snowball to $50 a day in time to come. The trick is to make that first $5. Small things can lead on to bigger things later. In this article, we'll investigate two ways to start making money online, and the best thing is, they won't cost you a dime to get started.

If you are good at writing, or even if you're not, you may want to consider looking at article writing as a viable way to earn your first dollar online. You can use articles in two ways – you can write them for other people and get paid on a per-article basis, or you can use them to promote affiliate programs. You can earn $3-$10 per article in freelancing. As your reputation and portfolio grows, you can charge more.

The way to earn money with affiliate programs from articles is to submit them to article directories. Ezine editors get lots of their content from article directories and will publish your article in their ezines, giving your article a very wide distribution. Do check the article directory's terms on where you can place your affiliate links though.

The next way to get started making money online for free is by setting up a free blog. Two of the best blog services are Wordpress and Blogger. Post content and include affiliate links and Adsense ads to earn money from. Then, all you have to do is promote your blog using forum marketing, classified ads, tag and ping and article marketing. If you keep at it, you'll make money. In fact, if you want, you can even create an empire of blogs on different topics!

Adobe Systems is also running formal instructional sessions similar to classroom setups. In the United States, the company launches these tutorial sessions every now and then. After that, there are certifications released to formally mark your acquisition of knowledge.

But if you are offshore or if Adobe Systems is not currently offering Adobe Photoshop tutorials in your area, there are also authorized learning sessions organized to help people like you. Some computer institutions and instructional centers are also conducting Adobe Photoshop tutorials to help you know more about operating the software.

Of course, when you are embarking in such learning programs, you must also allot investments for tutorial session payments. The tutorials, especially those not conducted by Adobe Systems, are not offered for free.

Another alternative to such tutorials are demonstrations organized by your office's information technology department. These forms of tutorials can be offered free of charge provided you will use the skill to conduct and do your own office tasks and responsibilities.

Internet Marketing Expert And Blalanced Lifestyle

You may or may not be an internet marketing expert. Perhaps you are striving to be
one. No matter where you go, we live on 24 hours a day, and even if you are a super
internet marketer, there's always a limit to what you can do with the time you have.

There are three major categories of internet marketers. The first, is the
super-hardworking sort. You are the kind that works literally 16 hour days as if
this were a job you could be fired from. Unfortunately, you overwork, and you burn
out quickly. Your family complains about your lifestyle. You don't have balance.

The second is the one that ding-dongs from hard work to no work. You churn out
content, then you sell them, make your money, then go on vacation. You are the
epitome of active income, because without activity, you have no income.

The final one which is by far the smartest, is the one that builds residual income
streams. By this, I mean building an income stream that works without you. If you
haven't learnt how to build income streams, you probably aren't really able to build
much residual ones. However, this should be your primary concern, because you will
have to work hard once and then forget about it.

Jay Conrad Levinson, the father of Guerilla Marketing, leads an extremely balanced
life. He works hard for three days of the week and takes the rest off to enjoy what
the world has for him. If you are someone who desires this kind of life, you will
definitely need to stop thinking of yourself as the hard working guru. It's a matter
of principle. You have more responsibility than simply just making money. You have
family and health to care for.

The balanced lifestyle has only two basic elements. The first is personal alignment
and the second is goal awareness. Personal alignment is in doing something that fits
in with our purpose and being. If you are not aligned, you'd be extremely stressed.
Sometimes, you might think you are aligned, but you might be shocked that I'd say
you could be addicted. Being addicted and being passionate with what you do are two
very different things, and it isn't easy to identify. What you must realize is that
if you are addicted to it, it could spell disaster for your well-being eventually.

The second is goal awareness. You will need to be more aware of your desires, and
things that require your attention. Do you need to build a better relationship with
your spouse? Your children? How about your health - mental, spiritual and physical?
Considering these goals and being aware of how you can dovetail these with your
limited time schedule, you will begin to realize how much more you can achieve even
within the same span of time. Dovetailing is a process of seeing two things and
achieving it as though it were one goal. Don't just do internet marketing and become
an internet marketing expert. Be the father who dotes on his family while you are an
expert. Don't just be a millionaire. Be a millionaire that shares with the world.

Finding The Best Online Advertising Methods

One of the keys to running a successful internet-driven home based business is to find the best online advertising methods for your business. Placing a classified ad is simply not enough. You need to know where to place it, what to say, and how to make your business look like a serious home based business opportunity. This is not always easy.

First, you must decide who your targeted audience is. Do you want to drive more people to the business aspect of your business, or are you looking to draw customers to your product. Targeted advertising refers to choosing ads that will reach the customers you want to reach. If you are looking for new business partners, you may want to consider placing a classified ad in a top home based business ideas e-zine. If you are looking to sell your product, look for a website or newsletter that caters to people looking for what you sell.

When posting home business classified ads online, remember that many business opportunity classified ads are ignored because they contain too much hype and not enough information. Design your ad so that it appeals to the reader. Use the ad to target their pain and struggle, and ensure them that your business or product can help. Choose the site you advertise on carefully, as this can sometimes cost money. Keep your target audience in mind, and you can successfully market through online classified ads.

Another online marketing strategy you can use is to advertise through forums and chat rooms. While most of these websites will not allow you to place a blatant ad, you can use your signature file to post a link. If you provide helpful information to the other members of the forum, you will drive traffic to your site. Those who appreciated the information you provided will be drawn to your business or service, making forum marketing an excellent way to market your home based business.

3 Steps to Switching ISP

If you are switching ISP, please keep in mind the following 3 easy steps and the switch will be much simpler:

1. Compare: Spend some time comparing ISPs in your area. It is a major decision even though it seems small at first. The reason being that once you sign up for an ISP, you will be with them for a while. So all your legwork upfront will come in handy. It is more important than opening a bank account. You know it is hard to change. Changing ISP is even tougher. The reason is simple, the ISP you choose sort of becomes your 'identity on the internet'. You get email from the ISP; your access to the internet depends on the ISP. Come to think of it a lot rides on choosing the right ISP that suits you. You can check out getanisp.com and www.switchemail.com/pages/CompareISPs.asp for comparison of ISPs.

Just don't look at the price. Make sure you are comfortable with everything they have to offer. Number of email addresses. Virus protection. Spam protection. Anything that is important to you; this is the time to pay attention and ask yourself 'Is this the ISP I would like to be with 5 years from now'. If the answer is not a definite 'yes' then walk away. Look for another ISP.

2. Overlap: Once you have found your ISP that fits your needs, then don't just cancel the old one. Overlap the service. Keep the old one online for at least a month. This will save you a lot of trouble. Paying 2 ISPs for a month is a small price to pay for making sure everything works at the new ISP. Secondly, you have time to get all your people informed about your new email address. Thirdly, you can transfer all your buddy lists and other saved information over. Overlapping will give the breathing room to do it at your pace and not leave anything behind.

3. Forward: After a month or so, when you are comfortable with the new ISP, go ahead and register yourself at Switchemail.com. Now go ahead and close the old ISP. In case anyone sends an email at your OLD ISP and they get a bounce back, they can simply forward the bounce to find@switchemail.com and switchemail.com will forward the email to your new email address. You can do the same too. Any time you get a bounced email, forward to find@switchemail.com and they will search and let you know the person's new email address.

3 Signs You Need a New Computer

If you believe the advertising, you need a new computer every six months. That isn't true, of course; a good one should run well for up to four years.

The constant march of technology does leave many people with the nagging feeling that they are missing out if they don't buy at least every two years. At the same time, today's PCs are built to last longer than ever. Indeed, there are tradeoffs in deciding how long to own the same computer. PCs constantly are being upgraded to offer more speed and power at reduced cost.

But there will be a point when you absolutely need a new one, because your current one is ready for its after-life (hopefully safely in the hands of a recycler; for more on safe disposal, keep reading). Here are three signs that it's time to spring for a new PC.

1. Your computer plays music at startup. Beethoven's "Für Elise" and Disney's "It's a Small, Small World" are pleasant tunes. If you hear either of these melodies when you turn on your computer, you're likely to want to relax or sing along. (After all, a computer that has developed a taste for punk rock music would be hard to handle.) Or you may suspect you have a virus.

Wrong on both counts.

The computer is telling you that the microprocessor or microprocessor fan is failing, or has already gone south. Or it may be telling you that power supply voltages are drifting out of tolerance, or that the supply cannot meet demand.

The music is a feature built into the Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) of some motherboards. It is a gentle reminder that you have a serious problem. It's probably not a problem if you hear a couple notes at boot-up. But if you regularly hear a tune, you need to take care of it.

What can you do? In all cases, you can get by at a reasonable cost if you have the ability and time to diagnose and fix the problem. You might well decide to take it to a shop. If so, you're probably looking at a minimum $200 (US) repair. Labour is expensive.

Can you ignore the problem? Not for long. Heat is the enemy of computers. It will fail soon, although perhaps you enjoy listening to "Für Elise."

Consider looking at new computers. The problem with fixing an older computer (especially if the bill is high) is this: It's probably just the beginning. Over the years I've had problems with memory, hard drives, floppy drives and CD drives. Something else is going to break. Speaking of which . . .

2. The hard drive grinds and grinds away. When you start your computer, you might get an unpleasant sound akin to a cat squealing. Or you could get a message like "Drive C: could not be found." That's your hard drive. Do you have all of your data backed up?

The message could indicate a problem with your BIOS - that's the thing that plays the tune mentioned above. More likely, your hard drive is staggering toward the grave, taking your data with it. It didn't spin up fast enough to start with Windows and perhaps there is something wrong with the drive's components.

Often, you can rescue the situation temporarily by rebooting the computer. But if the hard drive is failing, you don't want to dillydally. If you don't have a backup regimen, develop one, fast. Send your data to another computer if you're on a network. Burn it to a CD if you have a CD-RW. (If nothing else, pray!)

If you're certain that it's the hard drive, new ones are relatively cheap. Installation isn't particularly difficult, but it is involved. Figure $200 (US) minimum at a computer shop. The hard drive has to be installed and your data will be transferred to it.

Fixing the BIOS would probably be less expensive. It may need to be flashed. Unfortunately, it's easy for you to botch this job; it should be handled by a shop. Figure it will cost $100-$150 (US). Once again, this could be just the beginning. If your machine is two or more years old, consider looking for a new one.

3. Your computer won't handle Windows XP or certain software applications. When it's time to make a worthwhile upgrade, you may find your computer can't handle it. Maybe the microprocessor is too old. Perhaps you don't have enough memory, or your hard drive is too slow. This could be a problem with Windows XP, or demanding applications such as games.

Let's look at Windows XP. Microsoft has hawked successive Windows systems as "exciting," "fun" and "absolutely necessary" for years. Operating systems are never exciting or fun; they are the digital equivalent of a carpenter's toolbox. And upgrades rarely have been absolutely necessary.

However, Windows XP takes reliability to a whole new level. I would argue that it is necessary if you're using Windows Me or Windows 98. Those operating systems were based on DOS, and are much more crash-prone than XP. If you're thinking of moving up, I'd encourage you to do so.

But Windows XP needs a more powerful microprocessor and additional memory. Some pieces of equipment will not run on XP. You can use Microsoft's Upgrade Advisor to check your computer's compatibility.

If your computer cannot handle XP, consider buying a new one. You'll be amazed at how infrequently XP crashes. The same is true for hot new programs. If you really want them, and they won't run on your old machine, consider a new computer.

If you're using Windows 2000, the upgrade is not as crucial, since Windows XP was developed from Windows 2000. However, XP will run many consumer programs that 2000 will not. So if that's important to you, take a look at XP. Your computer should be able to handle XP if it's running 2000.

Disposing of the Old PC

If you do buy a new computer, you have to do something with the old one. These things have toxic materials in them, so you shouldn't be pitching them into the trash. Here are some ideas for disposal, but first you have a job to do.

You have to get all the data off the hard disk. Symantec's Norton SystemWorks includes an application called Wipe Info. OnTrack's DataEraser offers a similar feature, as does Jetico's BCWipe. There are more such applications on the Internet.

Ask neighbors and friends if they need a computer. (But remember, they may come back to you for help when it breaks down for good.) Offer to give it to your church, a charity or a school. Many have experts who can fix a broken computer. Some charities refurbish computers and give them to the needy.

Or, you can turn it in to the manufacturer of your new computer. Dell takes trade-ins. It also helps customers sell old machines, recycles them or donates them to charity. Gateway accepts trade-ins. Both IBM and HP offer recycling. Apple says it engineers its parts to be recyclable.

Finding Experts by Analytic Down Scrolling of Online Article Text Patterns

With all the massive content on the Internet it is very difficult to figure out which is real, which is fraudulent and what was written by someone who does not know what they are talking about. It is apparent that a software tool and a little artificial intelligence needs to be applied to this challenge. We need to find a way to find the experts on the Internet and be alleviated by those who do not know what on Earth they are talking about.

Did you know that there are patterns which form on a page of text based on the size of the words, lengths of sentences and number of spaces per line? It is true and did you know that richer writings have a different pattern than "Text Messaging" or "Forum Posts" or even fictional novels? Indeed, each writer may have their own style, but the patterns have many similarities.

I believe we need to create an algorithm which can find certain text and estimate the author's status as an expert or non-expert. Finding the Experts by use of an Analytic Tool that down scrolls the online article or page text patterns could assist search engines and research folks who need to weed thru the BS to get to what is real. Being able to find an expert is almost as important as being able to find an international terrorist motivated individual in a hay stack.

This tool will help National Security, college entrant examinations, sorting thru job applicants and greatly improve the search results on the Internet when you are trying to study something that is very important and so I leave you with this thought. Think on it.

A Repeatable Formula Is The Best-Kept Internet Marketing Secret

The title of my article is a giveaway to what I'll be revealing next, but this 'secret' is really no secret at all as all the major businesses in the world do it, but somehow Internet Marketers don't seem to have a firm grasp on it. Consider the ubiquitous Starbucks chain - you'll find them in almost every major city in the world. What are some of the keys of their success? They have a repeatable business which they can quickly setup anywhere in the world and customers can expect the same quality and products no matter where! Its as simple as that.

So how does that apply to the Internet Marketer? Imagine a scenario where you can take a new product (be it a Resell Rights or Private Label Rights product) and very quickly make a sales page, upload and promote it. Then announce it to your regular traffic channels and rake it the profits. Then imagine being able to do this repeatedly. That's where the profits lie, in launching multiple projects with your own profitable formula!

This article would not go into specifics, but I hope it'll get your creative juices flowing and you can be motivated by the concept.

Firstly you need a good research system. This subject alone warrants an article by itself and I can't cover it all here, but there are a lot of excellent websites like Wordtracker that'll help you find keywords and niches that are waiting to be mined. You research system could also include browsing forums and newsgroups where smart marketers can often spot a void waiting to be filled. For example, you could come up with a solution to a long-standing problem or even a frequently asked question. I've seen marketers come up with quick (and thin) reports that answer a nagging problem and see brisk sales at $9.99 a pop!

Second is the source of your income. After you've identified what you want to do, you'll need something to sell to that niche. This could be an affiliate product or even your self-developed one. List out your regular suppliers on an Excel spreadsheet for fast access.

Finally you need to develop a system for publishing websites that work. This can take time as you find you particular method of doing it. Make sure that you can replicate this system at will. For example, from a technical point of view, I use standard CSS templates that has all the formatting for headlines in red, sub-headers, yellow-highlighted text, etc and I can't tell you how much time that's saved me whenever I need to get a quick sales page up. I also use an immensely time consuming tool called RoboForm that saves all my passwords and form data which then allows me to promote my new site quickly.

Again, what I'm revealing here is nothing new. We all know this, but how often have we seen this as a 'franchise'? Meaning that we can easily recreate our last successful website but for a different niche? How about the ability to create multiple of these sites daily? Well you do the math and imagine if you have a well-oiled machinery like that in your hands.

What does it take? Some time to develop it of course. Write down the systems you'll need and where your strengths and weaknesses lie, then find the appropriate help in that area. Buy other ebooks to assist you, be it in the technical or marketing arena. Outsource if you must, and make that a part of your process. Your process should also have a schedule to keep you on track. Do it well and you'll be surprised at how many websites you can launch in a week!

Whatever it is, stop marketing blindly and hoping that you'll stumble on a "magic bullet". Take some time to plan and you'll find that it'll go a long way to your Internet Marketing success!

Business Portal 3.0 for Microsoft Dynamics GP Great Plains - Overview for Consultant

Web interface should, as we believe in the future replace "fat client" modules, such as GL, SOP, POP, RM, PM, and others currently written in Microsoft Dexterity (former Great Plains Dexterity). Microsoft Dynamics GP Business Portal version 3.0 maybe considered as a bit complicated in its installation, customization and deployment. All ERP applications are moving to web interface and thin client technology and this is just the matter of time, when we will enjoy worldwide secured access to our MRP functionality. In this small article we would like to stress some challenges of current BP:

• Back Office ERP restrictions. If you look at Microsoft Dynamics GP, you will realize that US Payroll and HR modules have different terminology on pay codes/time codes. Business Portal HR Management Self Service Suite has to conform to these different approaches and alter its logic accordingly (if you have US Payroll – pay codes, if you have only HR – time codes). This is only one example, we have more, but the article genre restrictions do not allow us to go deeper into the problem

• Extensions Philosophy. At this time, we believe that MBS has to accommodate BP to existing MS Dexterity based modules in GP backoffice. Good example is Requisition Management – this BP module posts its transactions to GP Purchase Order Processing (honoring commitments business logic). This is probably natural way of evolution – Project Green, later renamed into Microsoft Dynamics project could not jump ahead of ERP market and abolish all four ERP applications: Great Plains, Solomon, Axapta, Navision. Instead – what we see is more likely is evolution of mentioned ERP platforms to unified MS Office and Outlook interface, while the MRP core remains original

• Installation Battle. Business Portal deploys MS Sharepoint, eConnect, and as you probably realized it requires you to enter reg key (especially if you are MBS VAR and plan to demo Business Portal in Fabrikam to your prospects)

• Uninstall Dilemma. If you by whatever reason decided to wipe BP out and install it fresh – this is where you decide how deep cleaning up you would need. Our experience indicates the following: uninstall BP, then eConnect, Sharepoint, Sharepoint SQL or SQL Express, reboot computer and start over with BP reinstallation

Google Adsense - Don't Get Caught For Click Fraud

There has been quite a number of site owners that have had their Google Adsense account terminated for no apparent reason. If you are making a substantial income with Adsense then to have your account terminated would make a huge impact on your finances.

Nobody wants to see their income take a such a considerable dive. However, it is the consideration of the opposite that has brought the fraud situation into play.

There have been people who wanting a higher income will either click on their own Adsense ads or ask friends or family to click on their ads for them.

This is known as 'click fraud'. This is the act of clicking on ads for the sole purpose of earning extra income from the clicks.

The problem is that while that person is earning more income from those clicks, the advertiser of those ads is paying more fees for what is really false leads.

From the point of view of the Adwords advertiser, they do not want to be paying higher costs for false leads that have no chance of earning them any sales or leads.

Many website owners are aware of this fraud and are sharing the same sentiment that this is the one big problem that Adsense is facing.

How do you prevent being involved in this fraud?

Google will look to you very highly if they see that you would want to help them reduce click fraud. Many web hosts now offer access logs. If you have access logs to your website it is a good idea to hand it over to Google as well. This allows them to look for any suspicious activity on your site. By giving them your access logs it shows Google that you want to help them in any way you can in solving the click fraud problem.

There is also click monitoring software available on the market and most of these are free software. It wouldn't hurt to get hold of some click monitoring software and once again, all the information received through the software being given to Google. You will be again showing Google that you are helping them in the fight against click fraud and are in no way involved in click fraud.

There have been many people who have had their accounts terminated for click fraud who are very sure that they did not click on their own ads or have a family member or friend clicking their ads.

How this comes about is a bit unsure, but it can be possible if you perhaps have a visitor that does like your site and visits it quite regularly. If that one visitor does happen to click on ads each time they visit, this may come across as click fraud.

Also, as awful as it may sound, some people may unintentionally make enemies and if someone who perhaps wants to hurt you could find your website and click on your ads knowing that the consequences to that would be you losing your Adsense account.

This is why if you write any ebooks or reports and use your own website as an example, you shouldn't expose your actual website url or name. This can help to avoid anything like that happening to you.

Study your server logs and watch for any activity that seems suspicious. Report anything that you may find odd, may it big or small thing.

You may want to consider disabling ads for your own IP address and local geographic area. This will certainly prevent accidents and will not make Google mistake another user as you. You can do through a htaccess file.

Keep your Adsense off on pop ups and pop unders. Your ads should not be displayed on content sites that promote illegal activity or tampering of the legal rights of other people or business. Included in this are the content that is considered adult and gambling ones. If you think that you may be breaking this rule, immediately remove your content or Adsense from the web page.

Always be truthful and confess to Google if you do click on your own ads. whether accidentally or intentionally. Or if you have ever done anything that is against the Terms of Service that they are implementing. Be honest about anything that you may have done that is wrong.

Confessing is way better than Google learning about it eventually. It would mean eventual termination and no getting back what you have worked so hard for. If you confess to them anything you have done wrong, then they look at you as being honest and having made an unintentional mistake. They will take this more kindly than if they find out by their own methods.

Don't tell your family or friends that you have a website at all. As much as you'd like to show off your website to your family and friends, there is a good chance that they may start clicking on your ads to help you make money without you knowing it. Even though they may be trying to help you out, they will actually be doing more harm than good.

If someone you know does find out that you have a website, make sure you explain to them to never click on your ads. Make sure they understand the consequences to you if they do.

Do not be caught in the Google click fraud. Be aware and be wary.

Multiple Streams of Income - Is It Enough?

Regardless of where you turn online or what you read on the Internet, you'll find yourself being told that you should create multiple streams of income in order for you to be successful on the net.

Tiffany Dow reveals, in her new book entitled eBook Empire, that the whole idea behind multiple streams of income is to scare you in to investing in more Internet marketing products. They're using scarcity to make you believe that if you don't have multiple streams of income, you may not get rich enough.

The truth is, you don't need more than one source of income, as long as it's producing enough for you to reach your financial goals. The problem is, when you start dividing up your time to focus on multiple streams of income, you wind up not getting good enough at one skill to become a top producer in your niche.

Multiple streams of income means you're working harder than you have to, which conflicts with the message of "easy money" that online business opportunities deliver. Instead of halfway succeeding at a dozen different methods, wouldn't it be better if you took one idea and ran with it all the way to the top?

Not only would it deliver the same amount of money, if not more, but it would lighten your workload to focus on one money-making option rather than numerous ones. Many marketers experience burnout and quit the industry altogether because they're running in circles trying to get all of their multiple streams of income operating at once.

In order to actually find the success online that you want, you should be focusing on only one thing, like creating eBooks, and become an expert and authority in that one area. Once you're successful there and are able to manage your workload easily in this area, then you can repeat the process and try to develop multiple streams of income.

Repeating what works is the tried and true tactic all top marketers use to build seven-figure salaries. While they're preaching that you should "divide and conquer," they themselves are generating a steady income from what they know works. Creating multiple streams of income is a great long term goal but if you are just beginning Work on creating a single steady source of income and then when you are earning money almost on auto-pilot you can diverge.

Operating Systems - Linux or Windows? Long Live UBUNTU!

As I'm writing these words, a major computer wholesaler has decided to ship some of its new models with Linux Operating System.

They have selected UBUNTU's 7.04 "Feisty Fawn" distribution of Linux. (Windows have OS releases or versions like XP or Vista; Linux has "distributions" like Fedora, Redhat, Ubuntu and many others.)

Go Linux!

A perfect choice because I've been using UBUNTU on one of my machines for over a year now and I have nothing but qualified praise for it.

Qualified? Yes. Because I cannot run any of my Windows application (like Photoshop, Illustrator, FrameMaker, GoLive) on Ubuntu.

GIMP comes close to doing what Photoshop can do (at least at my level of graphic competence) but other Windows applications do not have their Linux-counterparts yet. There is nothing over the horizon, for example, to match the reliability and power of FrameMaker in a Linux environment.

So why do I still like my Ubuntu? Let me count the ways:

1) It's FREE.

2) OpenOffice that comes with it is also FREE and it can match MS Office in every category, except in mail management. (NOTE: You can download and use OpenOffice on Windows and Mac machines as well.)

3) No viruses. Period. I have not used any anti-virus programs or firewalls with my Ubuntu system yet. Knock on wood.

4) No system crashes. And when I crash my system (a rare event) while trying to open 10 different applications or files at the same time, Ubuntu recovers beautifully, restoring each crashed file one by one when you restart the system.

5) Auto updates... when you click this great little "you have updates" button on top of the screen, UBUNTU automatically downloads (after your approval of each item) whatever updates are developed by hard-working Linux volunteers around the globe.

6) An ever-growing collection of free, new and interesting software available for instant downloads through Synaptic Package Manager. (For example, it's free CHESS program - one of the hundreds of Linux games available online for free - is one of the best I've ever played against.)

I do all my writing, for example, on my Linux machine. Since OpenOffice also has a free PDF conversion utility built right into its word processor, I'm writing my new book ("Copyright-Free Content for Your Newsletters") also on my Linux machine. (YES - you don't need to buy Adobe Acrobat Pro to generate PDFs!)

One shortcoming of "Feisty Fawn" distribution – its energy-saving screen- and machine-sleep modes are not perfect and don't work well. When the machine goes to sleep after a certain configurable duration of time, it shuts itself off as it tries to revive itself. If you get Ubuntu 7.04, do not use that energy-saving option. I hope they'll fix that pesky problem as well in a future release.
