Cisco Routers - Send a message to VTY Lines

This is another very utile bid which lets you to direct messages to other people connected to the same router.

To direct messages to one or all terminus lines, usage the direct bid in EXEC mode.

send {line-number | * | aux figure | console table figure | tty figure | vty number}

This bid was introduced in 11.2

Here is an illustration that directs a message to all lines:

Router#send *

Enter message, end with CTRL/Z; abort with CTRL/C:

Test Message

^Z

Send message? [confirm]

Router#
