Fitness hearing set for Aledo adult male accused of incendiarism

ALEDO -- A rural Aledo adult male charged with incendiarism will have got a fitness hearing next hebdomad to find if he can stand up trial.
Justin R. Howell, 20, is charged with felony incendiarism for allegedly starting a Jan. Ten blazing in the mobile place of his mother, Becky Howell, without her consent, according to tribunal records.
The home, north of Aledo at 1151 Prairie State 94, was heavily damaged from smoke. There were no reported injuries.
According to tribunal records, Mr. Howell lived in the place with his mother.
He admitted to patrol that he used a lighter to begin the fire in a bedroom, according to former tribunal testimony. When asked why, he said he was "angry."
During a Wednesday hearing, Mercer County Judge Jesse James Conway Jr. said a fitness rating study have been received and filed, but it will stay sealed until the March 25 hearing.
Mr. Howell remained in the Mercer County Jail on Wednesday on $75,000 bail.
